Recommendation page (Parts Advisor)

The following page appears if the user is a Parts Advisor and selects the Recommendation page.

Refer to Using the Recommendation page for instructions on using this page to complete parts pricing and availability for each recommendation.

  1. Category, recommendation item and condition code - carried over from the Inspection page.
  2. Tech Comments - carried over from the Recommendation window. These are view-only for the Parts Advisor.
  3. Customer Comments - Technician comments for the customer. Carried over from the Technician Recommendation window.
  4. Parts – enter total $ amount of all parts pricing for this recommendation.
  5. “Parts List” – click to enter pricing and availability for multiple parts. A Parts List window opens to enter the information.
  6. "EPC Import" (if enabled) - click to open Snap-on to prepare a parts list for import.
  7. Parts Clerk Comments – enter part availability detail or other relevant information. Not viewable by the customer.
  8. "Stock availability" icons – select the appropriate icon for the availability for all parts related to this recommendation. Automatically set if the Parts List page is used.
  9. Customer Comments - can be entered and appear in the Recommendations box on the MPI PDF.
  10. Recommended By – shows which user made the recommendation.
  11. “Parts Request Cancel” – select if unable to complete the required fields. This returns the inspection to the vehicle queue for the Parts Department.
  12. “Parts Request Completed” – select if all of the information has been entered for all recommendations on this inspection. It removes the inspection from the vehicle queue for the Parts Department.
  13. "Select Parts from Catalog" - click to open Service Library to prepare a parts list for import.
